SYNOPSIS:

Surprisingly, Berlin has 86 shooting clubs. The film Schützenverein explores the landscape of Berlin's shooting sports enthusiasts, often revealing modest, hidden, and sometimes mysterious places.

We often find ourselves caught in social bubbles, causing many aspects of the world around us to go unnoticed. It was important for us to create a film that reveals a world we hardly knew existed in Berlin. While making this film, we met and were confronted with people we had never encountered before, some of whose views we struggled to understand. Yet, they welcomed us in and shared their world with us. Stepping outside your bubble is always a confrontation with the unknown.
