In the video installation POINTLESSGAME, the viewer is guided through rugged terrain, slowly moving forward. Along the journey, they are confronted with objects each seemingly important yet also meaningless. In the landscape, these objects are the only things the viewer can move toward. Drawing the viewer’s gaze, the viewer walks to the objects, passes them, forgets them, and ultimately moves on. They forget them because there is always a new object on the horizon toward which one can gravitate.
